Guiding theme "Periodontology 2021
The 62nd Bavarian Dental Day from 21 to 23 October in Munich will be held under the theme "Periodontology 2021". The central continuing education congress of Bavarian dentists is organised by the Bavarian State Dental Association (BLZK) in cooperation with the Kassenzahnärztliche Vereinigung Bayerns (KZVB). Partners for the scientific programme are the German Society for Periodontology (DG PARO) and the Austrian Society for Periodontology (ÖGP).
"In 16 lectures by renowned speakers, we will bring the different facets of modern periodontology to the point and link them to related topics," says Christian Berger, President of the Bavarian Dental Association and scientific director of the Bavarian Dentists' Conference. The focus is on prevention, therapy and aftercare of periodontitis - after all, inflammation of the periodontium is one of the most common human diseases. The challenges of implants and root caries will be discussed as well as the new guidelines for periodontitis treatment. In addition, the two-day dental congress will provide an overview of quality assurance, documentation and the services offered by the KZVB. It is also possible to update the X-ray qualification for dentists again.
